Loving me some green
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
In honor of this day I am loving me some Emerald Green!
What a great color and I have really taking a liking to it lately.
Kyle from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills heading up this earring tread.
Love them!
And I just recently purchased this lit guy. Which I have gotten tons of compliments on. I think it will be great for all seasons!
Not only is it a great accessory color but looks great in the home too.
Here are some inspirational green pics for the day!
Luck of the Irish to ya!

All things Spring! (clothes edition)
I can't WAIT for Spring! Warm weather, a tan, natural highlights in my hair, bright colors... I could go on and on!
Here are some of my favorite things I love about SpRiNg!
Lucked up and found these babies on Ebay this winter!
You can go wrong with a Tory Burch flop of any kind!
Love all things coral this year... and turquoises!
White Pants!
Wedges AND Nude colored shoes!
The Maxi Dress
The cotton dress... not to mention the flattering empire waist!
Everyone who knows me, knows I love a good black dress!
And to top off the black dress while at work... nothing better than a good fitting jean jacket!
Stay tuned for "All things Spring Home Edition!"

Weekend in review and a little treat
Well, it is cloudy here today but this past weekend we had beautiful weather!
Lovely weekend spent with the the family.
Saturday we headed to the Home and Garden Show... I must admit I was a bit disappointed. It seemed that unless you were in the market for a new bathroom, done by the "Bath Fitters type" of people, needed new gutters or a new deck, the show wasn't much of a show for you!
However we did run into DiVine, The living Gardenivine. I wasn't sure what to think but evidently it was suppose to be a show "highlight".
See her face in this one... kind of creepy!
Moving on... as I awoke at the wonderful hour of 3:00 this morning I decided and to be a bit productive by doing the dishes, washing some clothes, and what else can you do at that hour besides whip up some homemade gornola!
Honey Almond Gronola
3 cups of this:
1/2 cup this
1/4 cup this
1/2 cup this
1/4 cup this (melted)
1 tsp this
Plus 2 tbsp warm water.
Mix oatmeal, almonds and coconut together in a bowl and set aside.
Melt the cocount oil and then add the honey, vianialla and water. Mix together and pour mixture over the dry mixture coating it well. Transfer to a greased baking sheet and pop in over for 10 to 15 mintues at 325. Stirring every 5 minutes.
It will look a bit like this
Super yummy to eat alone or mixed in with some yogurt.
It makes 10 servings and from what I can tell a serving is about 1/2 a cup. With some help from MyFoodDiary.com with the recipe builder it is around 268 calories a serving. Seems a bit high but you would only probably eat it in 1/2 serving size... 1/4 cup making it just around 134 calories. Either way, better eating exactly what you know than a list of ingredients you have never even heard of.
Got this recipe from Mallory, my bootcamp instructor! Next time you are at the store and are about to buy your gonoala take a look at those ingredients... might make you think again!
Happy Monday!

Weekend ahead...
I am welcoming this weekend with open arms! I hate to wish my life away but we live for the weekends! My mom (also referred to as Mama Jane or Mimi) is headed into town and we have some fun plans ahead. Tonight might go sip on one of these:
And then tomorrow we are head to Birmingham to go see what all this is about.
Mom is redoing her upstairs bathroom so it should be fun to go get some ideas for it. But it will also be a challenge to me since I am in the "no shopping" season.
Before the "no shopping" season began, I did make a purchase that I have been wanting FOREVER!
These beauties!
I have wanted them for a really long time. In fact, I have been in search all over to find some even close to how much I like these but just haven't been able to find some. The ones I do find are even more expensive than these and I don't even like them as much. These are from Ballard Designs and were only $79 each for the large size which is be perfect for our front porch. Best part is, even though they look like cement, they are made out of fiberglass so they won't weigh a ton. They are just so versatile. You can make them look good all year round just like these:
Can't wait to be able to decorate with these every season!
Happy Weekend!
